Nobody likes to be micromanaged. It creates hostility and resentment. ESPECIALLY if one of your employees has been the top sales rep for the last 6 months, yeah, she especially hates it. SO.FUCKING.STOP.
Courtney - I had no idea we worked together! :) Our staff recently sat through a very long personality profile seminar, in which every single one of us was labeled "Dominant". The speaker stressed the importance of allowing dominant employees to do their jobs without micro-managing them. Apparently, our supervisors stuffed their ears full of cotton prior to the seminar, because NOTHING has changed.
