I've written about the wonderful Mrs. Kennedy before, remember the awesome booby shirt? Anyway, she is really whipping our slacker asses into shape with NaBloPoMo throughout the month of November. It's basically a way to get us un-motivatedlike folks to post every day and get the ol' creative juices flowing.

Of course most of my blurbs will probably be about the babies and hopefully I'll get some time and nerve to post some more thoughtful posts.

We did some awesome pumpkin carving this weekend around the Paris household. Oh, and we put a baby in a pumpkin too.

That babies are born with NOT fingernails, but razors at the end of their tiny fingers, which they use to grab your nipple while they are eating.

I know these month-by-month open letters to our children are trite, cliche' and overdone, but of course I'm going to do it, because how often does my second baby and first daughter turn one month old? So if you don't want to read it, then click away.

My God, Lilli, you have only been here a short 28 days, but already you're changing so much. Of course every little poopy diaper, and feeding session aren't as "monumental" as Conner's seemed to be, but you are no less amazing, and super and wonderful. You had a rocky start, and that gave mom a rocky start but you were strong and whooped that respirators butt. You pulled your dad and I closer, and made me see, all over again, what a wonderful dad he is and how lucky you are to have him. In case you haven't noticed dad can kind of be a brick wall when it comes to emotions, but you could see the love and a little bit of apprehension in his eyes when we talked about you, and when others asked how you were doing. Conner adores you and likes to give you lovies every chance he gets.

I was scared at first that there wasn't going to be a way for me to love you as much as Conner or that we would think less of Conner, but I had no idea how big my heart would get.

You look just like your daddy. You have his strong chin, and his eyes, and the translucent eyelids that I have stared at so many times. You have Conners sweet button nose, and these gorgeous long fingers and toes.

We love you Ms. Lilli-bug and I can't wait to see you grow and change.

So. The stove and I made up. I have actually cooked two (2!!!!) things
that turned out great! For me, this is a huge accomplishment.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls,Caramel Apple Crepes were on the menu when I cooked dinner for my dads
birthday last week.

People actually went for seconds. Since staying home with the baby,
even though I've been doing some work from here, I've also been trying
my hand at the stay-at-home-mom thing. OH.MY.GOD. It is kicking my
ass. Seriously, I don't know how you guys do it full time. I guess you
get into a schedule when you have longer then 6 weeks, but wow. I'm
tired.

Anyway, I've gone through my barely used cookbook, and mapped out some
recipes to try out for the next three weeks. As soon as I'm sure this
isn't just a fluke, your all invited over for dinner. :-)

gosh, it feels so nice to be home and trying to settle into a routine. Conner absolutely loves her.
When he ran into see her for the first time last night, he immediately grabbed her hand and just held it. Then my ovaries exploded.

He keeps petting her and saying how soft she is. He asks about her first thing in the morning.

Here are more pictures to tide you over until I can get some more sleep and write a decent post. (and the lack of sleep is not her fault, i wake up about every hour to make sure she's alright)

Wow, one week ago to the hour (as I write this) I was just feeling the first twinges of Lillian as she prepared to make her way to this world. It seems like yesterday, but at the same time weeks ago.

Want an awesome story about the sweetest boy in the world? This morning, I was showing Conner some pics of Lilli, and when we got to the one where she was crying, he was so concerned, he said "lilli cry?" And then ran off and came back with a little soft baby toy and said, "Lilli have it, no cry, lovies". I.LOST.MY.SHIT. of course I started crying like a fool. Damn we are so lucky with him.

She is getting better everyday, all we are waiting on now is for her billi level to come down, and after the two massive poops she had today, that should be the case in the morning. The dr gave us a tentative coming home day of Tuesday, but I've gone through this before, so I won't really believe them until we have her in the carseat.

We got moved to the intermediate care section, which is much quieter and much more lax. I got to hold her several times today for longer then the 10 minutes it takes her to eat. She curls up and fits perfectly on my chest.

Again, I can't thank everyone enough for their calls, comments and emails. Knowing people are out there rooting for us makes things a lot easier. Of course this means a barrage of baby photos for the next few days weeks months however long I feel! :-)
