Happy Fathers Day

I know it's delayed, but happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there.

I have a confession to make. I have been beating myself up since Sunday night when I realized that I didn't get a picture with my dad. :-( That was my goal for the whole day and I failed. Shit.

At any rate. happy fathers day dad. My dad and I are just about complete opposites when it comes to personalities (Physically I got almost all those traits from him, hello no ass). He's soft spoken and is wonderfully diplomatic. I am loud ALL.THE.TIME and I am-well-I can be tactless sometimes. But he provided a wonderful example of how a parent should be and what to look for in a good husband, and for that I am grateful.

Thanks Dad and happy fathers day.

Right now the Bath and Body Works Semi-annual sale is going on and....I could care less. I like their aroma-therapy stuff but that's about it. I've never been a fan of that kind of stuff really. Imean don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of personal hygiene but, I just am not into the fruity stuff.

Perhaps it's something lacking in my DNA? :-)

Bats Game

The boy is like a sponge. He can remember the most random things at the most random time. One of said things being "Buddy Bat", his happiness about that is one of the biggest reasons I am able to drag A out to Slugger Field for a game every now and then.

Last Friday was one of those days. The weather was lovely and we spent way to much money on ball-park junk food, but it was good times.

I'm OK!

I know, I know, I've been slacking. I really don't have an excuse other then I've been busy. The business is super busy right now in addition to the babies and all of the billions of boards and committees I feel like I HAVE to join.

Plus, sometimes it ebbs and flows. A's out for two weeks with military so tonight Conner and I made a countdown to when he'll be back. It's pretty hard for him to understand the days and what exactly is going on, so I'm hoping this will help.

I'm always super motivated to get shizz done around the house when Adam is gone, like I want to surprise him when he gets back. I've already got my list made.

*Hang up new drapes in the kiddos room, and put up their picture ledges

* Finish the Zen garden in the back, including laying barrier, laying rocks, ordering the fountain and bench.

*Refinish the bitchen' chairs I got at the high school theater dept yard sale today for the front porch.

* Move around the living room furtniture.

Because hey, it's not like I have enough to do.

Also, day 111

Tonight, during dinner, Conner was telling us about his day and then he paused and looked at me and in the most sincere voice ever says, "Thanks mom for making this good dinner". And then I cried. And Adam made fun of me.

This is one of the Stargazer Lily's from my back yard. As stores start to clearance them out now that "planting season" is winding down, I hope to get quite a few and add them in the back. They will be, along with our butterfly bush, the main floral feature in our zen garden.

Perhaps it's subconscious but there is something about the curve of the petals in these flowers. I could stare at the blooms for hours at a time and still be awed by their beauty.

I had an interview today at another magazine, doing ad sales. If it works out it would be awesome. It's a flex schedule which is wonderful. That means when the grandmas are baby watchin', I can work at the office, and when we're home, I'll work from here. Plus the boss doesn't micro-manage.

I'm still doing work for the flooring company thought. Well I'll start, the last few weeks have been a little hectic. I've realized that I really like a routine. I need one to thrive really.

We currently have about 1357320 balls up in the air and I'm just hoping some of them land soon.

That would be great.
